Overview
The iPhone 16 is Apple's 2024 mainstream 6.1-inch iPhone, with a Super Retina XDR OLED display, Dynamic Island and a colour-infused glass back in Black, White, Pink, Teal or Ultramarine. The aluminium frame and Ceramic Shield front weigh 170 g, and it is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.
The A18 chip has a 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, with 8GB of RAM. Apple rates the battery at up to 22 hours of video playback.
The 48MP Fusion main camera (f/1.6, sensor-shift stabilisation) doubles as a 2x telephoto-quality zoom and works with a 12MP ultra wide. Video goes up to 4K at 60 fps with Dolby Vision HDR. The new Camera Control button gives quick access to camera tools, and the Action button can be set to common shortcuts. The 12MP TrueDepth front camera handles selfies and Face ID.
USB-C handles charging and data, and wireless charging works with MagSafe and Qi2 at up to 25W. It supports 5G and Wi-Fi 7. Emergency SOS, Crash Detection and Roadside Assistance via satellite are included.
In the box: iPhone 16, USB-C charge cable (1 m) and documentation. A power adapter and EarPods are not included.
