Overview
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is Apple's largest 2024 flagship, built around a grade 5 titanium frame with a Ceramic Shield front and a textured matte glass back, in Natural, Black, White or Desert Titanium. It weighs 227 g and is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.
Its 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display runs at up to 120Hz with ProMotion and an Always-On mode, with Dynamic Island and up to 2000 nits peak brightness outdoors.
The A18 Pro chip has a 6-core CPU, a 6-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine, with 8GB of RAM. Apple rates the battery at up to 33 hours of video playback, the longest of any iPhone it has made.
The camera system pairs a 48MP Fusion main camera with a 48MP ultra wide and a 12MP 5x telephoto, for a 10x optical zoom range. Video goes up to 4K at 120 fps with Dolby Vision HDR, and ProRes recording to an external drive is supported. The Camera Control button gives quick access to camera tools, and the Action button can be set to common shortcuts. The 12MP TrueDepth front camera handles selfies and Face ID.
USB-C supports USB 3 speeds up to 10Gb/s. Wireless charging works with MagSafe at up to 25W and Qi2 at up to 15W. It supports 5G and Wi-Fi 7.
In the box: iPhone 16 Pro Max, USB-C charge cable (1 m) and documentation. A power adapter and EarPods are not included.
