The MUST PH11-6048 PRO is a 6kW (6,000W), 48V single-phase hybrid solar inverter from MUST's premium PH1100 PRO series. It combines a pure sine wave inverter, two MPPT solar inputs and a battery charger in a sealed, fanless IP66 case that can be mounted indoors or outdoors, and it supports off-grid, backup and grid-tie operation. How is it different from the cheaper MUST PV19-6048 EXP?

Both are 6kW, 48V hybrid inverters. The PH11-6048 PRO costs more because it is weatherproof (IP66, so it can be mounted outside), fanless and silent, more efficient (97.1% vs about 92%), takes more solar (7,800W on two inputs vs 6,000W) and can export to the grid. The PV19-6048 EXP is cheaper, indoor-only and has a higher short surge (12kW vs 9kW for 10 seconds).

What can it power?

It delivers 6,000W continuously, which is about 5–6kW of everyday loads (lights, fans, TVs, fridge/freezer, computers, a 1–1.5HP air conditioner or pump), with a 9,000W peak for 10 seconds for motor starts. Add up the wattage of everything you want to run at the same time and keep it under the rating.

Which batteries does it work with?

Any 48V battery bank, lithium or lead-acid (battery voltage range 40–60V). From our range, that includes the Felicity LPBF48100 (5kWh) and Felicity FLA48100 (5.12kWh). It charges at up to 125A. To run the full 6,000W from batteries, the bank must supply about 139A continuously, so check the batteries' discharge rating and add batteries in parallel if needed. Ask your installer to confirm BMS communication with your battery.

How many solar panels can I connect?

Up to 7,800W of panels across two inputs (one string each, for example two strings of 7 x 550W), with each string's open-circuit voltage kept below 500V and current below 15A. A qualified installer should design the strings.

Can I install it outside?

Yes. It is rated IP66 (dust-tight and protected against water jets), with natural cooling and no fan. Mount it on a wall out of direct sun if possible, as output reduces above 45°C. It measures 420 x 480 x 215mm and weighs 30kg.
