Overview
The MUST PV19-10048 EXP is a 10kW (10,000W), 48V hybrid solar inverter from MUST's PV1900 EXP series. It combines a pure sine wave inverter, a 150A MPPT solar charge controller and a battery charger in one wall-mounted unit, and switches automatically between solar, grid and battery power. Who it's for Homes, shops and small offices with a 48V battery bank who want to run on solar during the day, recharge from solar or the grid, and keep the power on during outages. What it can power It delivers 10,000W continuously, which is about 8–10kW of loads, enough for a whole home including 2–3 x 1.5HP air conditioners, a pumping machine and kitchen appliances, with a 20kW surge for motor starts. How long it runs depends on your battery bank, not the inverter. These figures are estimates; actual performance depends on your appliances, batteries and installation. Key specifications in plain language • Solar: 150A MPPT charge controller taking up to 10,000W of panels across two inputs (5,000W each, for example two strings of 9 x 550W), with each string's open-circuit voltage kept below 500V (450V if units are paralleled). • Charging: up to 150A total battery charging (solar + grid), with lead-acid and lithium charging profiles. • Grid: wide input range (170–280V in UPS mode, 90–280V in appliance mode) to cope with unstable supply, with a 10ms transfer time. • Two MPPT solar inputs (5,000W each). • Dual AC output for prioritising main and critical loads. • AC/PV lithium battery activation. • Up to 6 units in parallel (450V PV limit in parallel). • Size: 425 x 527 x 145mm and 18kg, for indoor wall mounting. Compatibility Use it with a 48V battery bank: lithium (LiFePO4), flooded/tubular, AGM or gel. Set the battery type in the inverter menu before first use. Install it indoors in a ventilated space, with correctly sized battery and PV cables, breakers and earthing. Installation should be done by a qualified installer. Questions about this product
What can it power?
It delivers 10,000W continuously, which is about 8–10kW of loads, enough for a whole home including 2–3 x 1.5HP air conditioners, a pumping machine and kitchen appliances, with a 20kW surge for motor starts. Add up the wattage of everything you want to run at the same time and keep it under the rating.
Which batteries does it work with?
Any 48V battery bank: lithium (LiFePO4), flooded/tubular, AGM or gel. From our range, that includes the Felicity LPBF48100 (5kWh) and Felicity FLA48100 (5.12kWh). Set the inverter's battery type to match. Four 12V batteries in series also make 48V. Lithium BMS communication: Yes, lithium BMS communication supported. Ask your installer to confirm the battery's protocol is supported. To run the full 10,000W from batteries, the bank must supply about 231A continuously, so check the batteries' discharge rating and add batteries in parallel if needed.
How many solar panels can I connect?
The built-in MPPT controller takes up to 10,000W of panels across two inputs (5,000W each, for example two strings of 9 x 550W), with each string's open-circuit voltage kept below 500V (450V if units are paralleled). A qualified installer should design the strings.
Does it keep running when NEPA/grid power fails?
Yes. It switches between grid, solar and battery automatically, with a 10ms transfer time in UPS mode, so computers and TVs normally keep running.
Where should I install it?
Indoors on a wall, in a ventilated spot away from rain and direct sun. It measures 425 x 527 x 145mm and weighs 18kg.
What warranty does it have?
2 years from MUST. Claims go through MUST via our supplier, so keep your proof of purchase and installation records.

Overall
We found no independent owner reviews of this exact model (PV19-10048 EXP). MUST has made inverters since 2010 and is one of the most widely sold inverter brands in Nigeria, valued for price and availability. As with any inverter, the most common problems reported online for budget hybrid inverters come from undersized cables, poor ventilation or PV strings above the voltage limit, so professional installation matters.
