Overview

The Felicity FLA48100 is a 5.12kWh, 48V (51.2V nominal, 100Ah) lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery for home and small-business solar and inverter systems. It is Felicity's lower-priced 48V 5kWh model, with a built-in smart battery management system (BMS), breaker and fuse, an LCD + LED display, built-in Wi-Fi monitoring and a rating of 6,000+ cycles. Who it's for Homes, shops and small offices running a 48V inverter of about 3kVA to 5kVA, charged from solar panels, the grid or both. You can start with one battery and add more later: up to 15 can be connected in parallel (76.8kWh in total). What it can power At least 95% of the 5.12kWh is usable, roughly 4.86kWh. As a rough guide, that runs a 500W load (lights, 2-3 fans, a TV, a laptop and Wi-Fi) for about 9 hours, or a 1,000W load (adding a fridge or freezer) for about 4 to 5 hours. The recommended continuous output is about 5,000W (100A), with short peaks of 7,500W (150A) for 15 seconds. Running air conditioners, pressing irons, kettles or water heaters will drain it quickly. These figures are estimates; actual runtime depends on your appliances and your inverter's efficiency. Felicity states it is compatible with leading inverter brands; use the right communication cable for your inverter (CAN or RS485). Connect batteries in parallel only, never in series.
