Overview
The Felicity LPBF48100 is a 5kWh, 48V (51.2V nominal) lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery for home and small-business solar and inverter systems. It stores enough energy to keep the essentials running through a typical Nigerian power outage, and it's built to be charged and discharged every day for years. Who it's for Homes, shops and small offices running a 48V inverter of about 3kVA to 5kVA, whether they charge from solar panels, the grid or both. You can start with one battery and add more later: up to 6 can be connected in parallel (30kWh in total). What it can power At least 95% of the 5kWh capacity is usable, so roughly 4.75kWh. As a rough guide, that runs a 500W load (lights, 2–3 fans, a TV, a laptop and Wi-Fi) for about 9 hours, or a 1,000W load (adding a fridge or freezer) for about 4–5 hours. The battery's recommended continuous output is about 2,500W, with short peaks of 5,000W for 15 seconds. It isn't suited to running air conditioners, pressing irons, kettles or water heaters for long. These figures are estimates; actual runtime depends on your appliances and inverter. Key specifications in plain language • Long life: rated for 6,000+ cycles (at 80% depth of discharge, 25°C), which is many years of daily use. • Safe chemistry: LiFePO4 is the most stable lithium chemistry for home storage, and a built-in smart BMS protects against over-charge, over-discharge, over-current and short circuits. • Smart: an LCD + LED display shows state of charge, and RS485/CAN communication lets compatible inverters read the battery directly. • Flexible installation: wall-mounted or floor-standing, indoors only (IP21). Compatibility Use it with a 48V inverter or hybrid inverter that supports lithium batteries. Felicity, Growatt SPF and Deye inverters are commonly paired with it. Inverter settings must be configured for lithium before first use. Connect batteries in parallel only (never in series), and don't use a PWM charge controller. Installation should be done by a qualified installer. Installation, mounting hardware and power cables are not included. In the box 1 × battery, plus communication cables (universal inverter cable, RS485 cable and battery-to-battery cable), as listed in Felicity's user guide. Warranty and support 5-year manufacturer warranty from Felicity Solar, which has an official presence in Nigeria. Warranty claims are handled through our supplier. What buyers say Felicity is one of the most widely sold battery brands in Nigeria. See the User Reviews section for a balanced summary, including the complaints some buyers have raised. Delivery Supplied from Lagos. Delivery time and cost depend on your location and are confirmed at order. The battery weighs about 40kg, so plan for two people to handle it.

Questions about this product
Which inverters is it for?
48V (51.2V nominal) inverters and hybrid inverters of about 3kVA to 5kVA that support lithium batteries. Set the inverter to lithium before first use and use the right communication cable (RS485 or CAN).
How many can I connect together?
Up to 6 in parallel (30kWh in total). Felicity says never to connect them in series.
Can I charge it from a PWM solar controller?
No. Do not use a PWM charge controller with this battery.
What is in the box?
According to Felicity's user guide: the battery, a universal inverter communication cable, an RS485 cable and a battery-to-battery communication cable. Mounting hardware and power cables are not included, so confirm with us when you order.
How long will it run my appliances?
About 4.75kWh is usable: roughly 9 hours for a 500W load or 4 to 5 hours for 1,000W. These are estimates and depend on your inverter.
Where can I install it?
Wall-mounted or floor-standing, indoors only (IP21). Felicity lists 40kg, so use a suitable wall fixing or stand it on the floor.
What warranty does it have?
Felicity lists 5 years. Claims go through Felicity via our supplier, so keep your proof of purchase.

Overall
Felicity is one of the most widely sold lithium battery brands in Nigeria. Buyers value its local availability, compatibility with popular inverters and 5-year warranty. Opinions online are mixed, though: some installers report good performance and helpful support, while others have complained of capacity below the rating on some Felicity models. We found few detailed independent reviews of this exact model.
Review 1
An installer who has fitted Felicity batteries said they work well and the customer support is good, but advised buyers to respect the battery's charge and discharge current limit and not pair it with an oversized inverter.
Review 2
An owner using a Felicity battery with a third-party inverter needed help finding the right communication cable wiring. Another user noted it works most easily with Growatt SPF, Deye and Felicity inverters.
Review 3
Some buyers abroad (mainly in 2022, on other Felicity models) were unhappy: they reported less capacity than advertised and questioned the quality of the cells used, and one said their battery gave off smoke within days and was replaced.
Review 4
A Nigerian buying guide recommends Felicity lithium batteries for their long cycle life, high usable capacity and local warranty support, and advises buying from authorised dealers and checking warranty terms before purchase.
